If you are considering siding for your home, here are five major advantages of vinyl siding.

1. Overall Costs Are Less

In general, vinyl siding is a popular choice for many homeowners because it’s quite cost effective.

2. It’s Incredibly Versatile

Today’s vinyl siding comes in hundreds of colors, textures, and profiles to give you complete versatility in designing your dream exterior. Like the look of cedar shakes but prefer the qualities of vinyl? You can find a vinyl replacement that looks so authentic, it fools even the most discriminating eyes.

There are plenty of inexpensive vinyl options for that, too. You can find a vinyl siding style that works with both horizontal and vertical applications for any home profile.

3. More Durable Than Other Siding

Vinyl siding is made to withstand the elements, including heavy wind and impact from hail. In addition, vinyl resists excessive moisture, meaning it won’t rot or corrode over time. In many cases, you can get a lifetime warranty on your vinyl siding that is often prorated for up to 50 years on successive owners.

4. It’s Virtually Maintenance Free

When it comes to siding, vinyl is about as low maintenance as it gets. Since it resists pests such as termites and blights such as rot, it will keep its original qualities for many years, giving you your money’s worth. Also, you’ll never need to paint your home — a simple cleaning once a year or so is more than adequate to maintain its original good looks. Once your vinyl siding is installed, you won’t have to tax your budget with unexpected costs to keep it looking great.

5. Cuts Home Heating and Cooling Costs

Insulated vinyl siding prevents heat loss between the wall studs in exterior walls, a phenomenon known as thermal bridging.” While most homes have insulation between the wall studs, the studs themselves bleed heat where they come in contact with exterior siding. Insulated vinyl siding places a blanket of protection over the studs, keeping your home warmer in winter and cooler in summer. In addition, insulated vinyl siding may make you eligible for energy tax credits, making it even more economical to install.

Why Soffit and Fascia Are Important For Your Home

Why Is Soffit Important?

Soffit is important because it has venting that helps keep a steady airflow between your roof and attic. You’re probably thinking, why do I want outside air in my home?

Your attic needs to be well ventilated or else moisture can build up causing mold to form. The last thing you want in your home is mold.

Aside from keeping moisture out, soffit helps release heat from your attic during the hot summer months.

Soffit also helps keep animals and insects out of your home. Bees and wasps love to nestle up in soffit, so you need to keep it maintained to prevent them from invading.  It’s important to make sure your soffit has no cracks or holes in it and if it does, you must repair or replace it right away.

Why Is Fascia Important?

Fascia consists of the long straight board along the lower edge of the roof, so how can it be so important? For starters, it’s the last line of support for the lower edge of the bottom row of roof tiles or shingles.

Plus, it’s what your gutters are installed on. Gutters are extremely important and your fascia needs to be able to hold them up even during torrential downpour.

Fascia is also important because it’s visible to everyone. If you want to maximize your home’s curb appeal, your fascia needs to look great as well.

Why Vinyl Soffit and Fascia Are Better than the Rest

You know what soffit and fascia are and why they’re important, so now you need to know what type to get in order to maximize all the benefits associated with them.

As mentioned earlier, the main materials of soffit and fascia are wood, aluminum and vinyl. Wood soffit and fascia doesn’t make sense in the Midwest because it’s susceptible to warping and rotting when exposed to moisture.

Aluminum soffit and fascia absorb heat and will make your roof and attic extremely hot which will decrease your home’s overall energy efficiency because you’ll have to rely more on your air conditioner.

Vinyl soffit and fascia are the clear winners. Vinyl is resistant to cracking, warping and rotting so it’s virtually maintenance-free. All you’ll need to do is clean it every once in a while.

Plus, you have more options with vinyl and can even choose wood grain finishes if you want the beauty of wood without the negatives.

Vinyl is the most energy efficient option as well because it’ll keep rain, snow, rodents and insects out of your home better than wood or aluminum.

The Window Installation Process
While replacing a window may seem like a somewhat trivial feat, a deeper look reveals that it may be more complex than you initially perceive. Here is some extremely condensed insight into what the window installation process entails and just how important each step is in the well-being of your home.
• The Old Window Removal: Taking an existing window out of the frame and properly disposing of it can be a difficult task without access to the necessary resources
• The Window Opening: Another roadblock we encounter with some homes is out of square window openings. The interior and exterior measurement, restoration, caulking, insulation etc. required to combat this issue requires significant tools and expertise. Even the tiniest mistake in this part of the process can cause harm to your home, draftiness, and future water damage.
• The New Window Installation: Our trained and experienced team installs your fitted windows, and we take every precaution to protect your window and your home from any damage that could come its way. We take our time on your windows because we know how important the success of our installation is to the future of your home.
As you can see, the process of installing a new window isn’t one for amateurs to tackle on their own.

We’ve earned a reputation as a no-pressure sales company and pride ourselves on never pushing our customers into purchasing a home improvement product they don’t need or want. The Benefits of Gutters

The importance of properly installed and maintained gutters can’t be stressed enough. Every house should have gutters, and in recent years building officials across the land have been recognizing this. Many municipalities around the country are now requiring gutters on all new residential construction. Here’s why rain gutters are so important:

  • Soil around the house is stabilized
  • Foundation problems can be avoided
  • Flooding under houses and in basements can be prevented
  • Erosion can be prevented and this preserves landscaping and turf
  • Water damage to siding can be prevented
  • Water staining on brick and stone masonry can be prevented
  • Settling and cracking of sidewalks, patios and driveways can be lessened
  • Exterior doors and garage overhead doors can be preserved

What is the difference between Super Gutters and Seamless Gutters?

The main difference is that Super Gutters are structural and much heavier gauge aluminum or thicker so they can support the weight and downward forces from the beams of a pool or screen enclosure. They are extruded and not roll form which adds strength. They are also rectangular and not decorative or rounded so they can support the weight of a pool enclosure. They are available in Bronze and White so they match both colors screen enclosures are made. Seamless gutters come in about 18-20 colors and are meant for the areas of the home where there is no screen enclosure. Also, Super Gutters have a Spline groove so the screen mesh can be attached directly to them and Seamless gutters do not have this component.

Why Do we need Super Gutters in our Lanai or Patio?

Super Gutters are designed to protect the wood fascia from moisture and eventually rotting by acting as a barrier between the Screen enclosure and the wood fascia. This also helps prevent termite infestation. They channel the rain water off the roof and away from the patio and foundation walls of the home, thus help prevent mold or mildew from building up on the lanai or patio.

TOP QUALITY RESCREENING

We know how to properly rescreen any existing enclosure no matter its size or damage. In Florida, hurricanes are an annual occurrence. When a hurricane passes through, screens usually receive some damage from the high winds and flying or falling debris.

Rescreening an existing screen room or enclosure can instantly bring it back to life. Most enclosures only last 10-15 years, so at some point rescreening becomes a necessity. We’re aluminum experts and can correctly attend to any enclosure and ensure it’s properly fixed. Contact us today to schedule a free rescreening estimate for your enclosure!
